Personal Statement: My work focuses on the education and training of health and medical professionals, patients, and caregivers. I have developed trainings and materials for a variety of governmental agencies, local and national non- profit organizations. I have also served as adjunct faculty at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland. I am wrapping up my role as the Principal Investigator (PI) and Project Director for the Mid-Atlantic Renal Coalition’s Special Innovation Project, funded by Medicare, focusing on peer mentoring as a mechanism to increase self-management and decrease hospital re-admission among patients on dialysis and in January 2016 will serve as Director of the Coalition for the Supportive Care Kidney Patients.
