I also have experience working on healthcare research studies which focus on population health, outcomes research and the epidemiology of diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, chronic hepatitis, coronary heart disease, transitions of care in pharmacy and a veteran’s health study which studied post-traumatic stress disorders. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Spanish from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania. I am currently working towards my Master of Science in Biology at Bloomsburg University. My research focuses on the signal transduction mechanisms of aggressive forms of cutaneous melanoma.

Why this project is important to me:I work on projects that focus on patient safety and quality as well as patient satisfaction/experience. My hope is that by working on this project I can help make a positive impact on the quality of life and patient outcomes for CKD patients through this research. I also feel it is important to keep patients informed throughout the entire process of their medical care, so they can make better decisions about their health.
