Personal Statement: I am a research assistant at Geisinger Medical Center with BA in Anthropology (Research and Applied Tracks) from Bloomsburg University. and I have been involved with the PrepareNow project for the past year. I am responsible for facilitating patient recruitment, updating the databases, and answering patient enrollment questions.
Hobbies/Interested: Family Adventures, Hiking, Travel and Culture, Astronomy, Raising chickens
Why this project is important to me: This project is important to me because I believe that patient education encourages patients to be more involved in their care and to make health decisions that are more satisfying on a personal level. I also think that communication between patients and care teams enables care providers to see the process from a different perspective and improve patient care.
