Personal Statement: Elisabeth is a Research Assistant working with the Kidney Health Research Institute at Geisinger Health System. She received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiolgy from the Pennsylvania State University.
Hobbies and Interests: Family and loved ones, health and wellness, personal fitness, gardening, tailoring, hiking and the outdoors, travel.
Why is this project important to you: I think it’s our responsibility, as health care professionals, to engage patients in their health care and ensure that we are providing as thorough an education as we can on how to live with chronic illness. I’m very excited that this program is working to fill the large education gap for patients with early stage CKD and I’m proud to be a part of it.
