Personal Statement: I am a Community Health Assistant with Geisinger Health Plan working with the PCORI Grant. I am teaching the Living with Kidney Disease classes and helping patients with different resources they may need in the community. I have been at Geisinger for 2 years and have been a part of the case management department in various roles. I graduated in 2016 from Bloomsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal Communication Studies.
Hobbies/Interested: Event planning, crafting, sports and spending time with family and friends
Why this project is important to me: I’m new to the world of Nephrology and already can see the need for more awareness. I hope that through this project I am able to help the patients better understand their kidney disease and make a difference in their lives.
